What are CNF files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a CNF file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your CNF files.
What is a CNF file?
CNF files have multiple uses, and CA-Simply Money Configuration is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.

How to open CNF files
Important: Different programs may use files with the CNF file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your CNF file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
While we have not verified the apps ourselves yet, our users have suggested seven different CNF openers which you will find listed below.

While CA-Simply Money Configuration is a popular type of CNF-file, we know of 7 different uses of the .CNF file extension. Different software may use files with the same extension for different types of data.
Invision Configuration
We know that one CNF format is Invision Configuration. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
JOC-Configuration Data
We know that one CNF format is JOC-Configuration Data. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
Lotus 123/Symphony Configuration File
We know that one CNF format is Lotus 123/Symphony Configuration File. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
PlayStation 2 System Configuration File
We know that one CNF format is PlayStation 2 System Configuration File. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
Telnet Configuration File
Files that contain the .cnf file extension are most commonly associated with telnet connection files. These CNF files store the information that the computer uses in order to make a telnet connection.
Files with the .cnf extension may contain the name of the telnet server that is being used as well as the username and the password of the telnet user. The CNF file that is used by the telnet client software works like a shortcut, allowing users quick access to commonly-used telnet sessions.
Varsity Scripsit Configuration File
We know that one CNF format is Varsity Scripsit Configuration File. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
