What is a CATALOG file?
CATALOG files have multiple uses, and CATIA Catalog is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
CATIA Catalog File
Files with the .catalog extension are most commonly used by the CATIA suite of CAD, CAE, and CAM software applications. These programs allow manufacturers to simulate the industrial design process. Files with the .catalog extension contain the catalog files used by the CATIA application.

Amiga Catalog Translation Format
We know that one CATALOG format is Amiga Catalog Translation Format. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
