What is a B file?
B files have multiple uses, and BASIC Source Code is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
BASIC Source Code
Some files that use the .b file extension are programming files that contain BASIC source code. BASIC stands for Beginner's All-Purpose Symbolic Instructions Code. The BASIC programming language was developed in the 1960s.
While the programming language was initially developed for students who needed to write computer programs, it is now widely used as a common programming language.
It is more common for BASIC programs to use the .BAS file extension.
