What is an AVASTLIC file?
Files that contain the .avastlic file extension are license files that have been created for commercial versions of the Avast! anti-virus software. Avast! offers comprehensive protection from viruses, spyware and other malware dangers.
The AVASTLIC files that the software uses contain information about a user's subscription and authorization information from Avast including the user's user name, the product details and and the date that the user's license will expire.
The AVASTLIC file is usually sent to the user via email. Once the user has received the email containing the license, the attachment can be used to install the license on the user's hard drive.
