What are AEH files and how to open them

What is an AEH file?
An .AEH file is an IPer Advanced Embedded Hypertext file.
IPer Advanced Embedded Hypertext files are created by Visual Vision's HyperPublish (formerly iPer) software. These files are used to store embedded hypertext documents that combine text, images, links, and layout into a format intended for creating websites, CDs, catalogs, electronic documents, or hypermedia presentations. The purpose is to author offline or online hypertext content with a single integrated file that includes both content and navigation information.
HyperPublish writes .AEH files as part of its publishing workflow: you build your hypermedia document in the editor (designing pages, inserting hypertext links, embedding images and formatting), then save the authored document into this AEH format for editing, preview, or distribution. Later you may export the content from AEH into standard web formats (HTML), CD menus, or electronic documents, depending on what your target output is. HyperPublish is the application that reads, edits, and produces AEH files exclusively.
On the technical side, AEH files begin with the four bytes 41 4C 44 4F at offset 0 in ASCII, which spell "ALDO." This signature identifies them as IPer Advanced Embedded Hypertext files.
How to open AEH files
Important: Different programs may use files with the AEH file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your AEH file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
