ACS2 File
What are ACS2 files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening an ACS2 file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your ACS2 files.
What is an ACS2 file?
An .ACS2 file is an AIMP Skin file.
AIMP Skin (version 2) files store custom appearance themes for the AIMP media player. Created by the AIMP DevTeam, these .ACS2 files allow users to change how AIMP looks - defining layouts of buttons, panels, backgrounds, text and border styles to personalize the user interface.
AIMP writes these files when a skin is designed using its skin editor, and AIMP reads them when you select and apply a skin from its skins list. They are placed in AIMP's Skins folder (for example, under Program Files\AIMP\Skins). The skin data includes container layout, panel positions, font and text color settings, border appearance, and similar interface theme details.
Version 2 is older than later skin formats (such as ACS3 or ACS4) used by newer AIMP releases. It does not include editing project metadata included in project files that are used only for editing skins (not for playing them).
The file begins with the ASCII header "ACSP" in its first four bytes at offset 0, identifying that it is an AIMP Skin version 2 file.
