The A2W file is a type of file created using the Adlib Tracker II software. A2W files are A2B files containing macros - a set of instructions or rules specifically designed to be followed by a program. A2W files are instrument banks like A2B files.
An instrument bank is the stored electronic data of sounds used in composing music. The Adlib Tracker II, a type of music tracker or tracker, uses these instrument banks in sequencing to create music.
The Adlib Tracker II creates .A2W files for the OPL3 FM-chip, a type of hardware used in computer soundcards. Soundcards are the hardware responsible for converting audio signals to and from the computer using programs.
How to open A2W files
Important: Different programs may use files with the A2W file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your A2W file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
