What is a PGI file?

Files that contain the .pgi file extension are most commonly associated with video files. MOD and MOI video format files frequently have a PGI file connected to them.

A PGI file contains information about an associated movie file, such as the duration of the movie, the title information and movie's time-stamp details.

Panasonic, Canon and JVC video recorders commonly create files with the .pgi file extension for the videos that are recorded with the devices.

The PGraph Library software is also known to use the .pgi file suffix. These PGI files contain printer device drivers that are used by the application.
