What is ChessBase Light?
ChessBase Lights is a stand-alone chess player and database that provides access to games and tutorials and can be used even by beginners. On-line players may opt to play chess games of different levels, alone or in multi-player mode. The chess on-line database contains 6 million of chess games. The most recent version of the game is called the ChessBase 12.
Chessbase has been equipped with engine analysis mechanism with allows users to analyze and set up the game by clicking on icons. These engines have multiple tasks such directs the starting position, prompts analysis, and calculate possible steps. Another engine can also be set up to forecast potential steps to be taken by the opponent.
Positioning can also be learned using one of the programs in the chess database. Endings can also be classified according to the type of games and the amount of time spent in completing one task. Middle-game positioning can also be manipulated and studied directly on the website.
The website itself is now on high-resolution platform. It also contains a search option that lets you browse all the available games using keywords or by indicating the categories. It can be used until 2015 as shown in its license.
