Opening NET files

Did your computer fail to open a NET file? We explain what NET files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your NET files.

What is a NET file?

Files that contain the .net file extension are used to store a variety of different file formats for a variety of different software applications.

Some of the files that contain the .net extension are network configuration files. These files are often used to store information that allows a user to set the default gateway, host name and network interface for a specific network host.

The netViz Enterprise software also uses the .net file suffix. This software is commonly used for business diagramming. The diagrams created with the software are saved with the .net file extension.

FileMaker Pro also uses the .net file suffix. This application normally uses these files in order to enable TCP/IP support.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
