OrCAD Capture

If you are looking for OrCAD Capture, you have come to the right place. We explain what OrCAD Capture is and point you to the official download.

What is OrCAD Capture?

OrCAD Capture is a software used for schematic design that helps in creating and documenting electrical circuits. It is designed by fusing two programs: OrCAD and Capture CIS. With this software, creating circuits and producing printed circuit boards are now easier given with easy controls and much efficiency that can save the engineer’s time.

The software can export a simulation configuration file which allows quick simulations with data representatives and will define on how the circuit will work. It can also export hardware descriptions and has the ability to export these data to multiple circuit board layout utilities.

The software has also been added with additional scripting, namely TCL/TK scripting, which allows the execution of a command through the command prompt. This enables users to customize the program and automate a task through its graphical user interface (GUI). Versions of these software are now available for iOS and Android systems, which can enable users to access their projects and to easily create designs without using a personal computer.
