What is wxDev-C++?
The wxDev-C++ is a free IDE (integrated development environment) which was created as an extension of the Dev-C++ program. This software uses a form designer to help the user visually create frames and dialogues for wxWidgets. This software’s main purpose is to provide the wxWidgets community with an open-source, commercial grade and free RAD or IDE tool for wxWidgets development.
The design form used in the wxDev-C++ software generates XRC XML resources and has a drag-and-drop design paradigm. It supports the wxWidgets’ sized-based layouts and ensures that the event functions within the editor are connected properly. Editors may also find this software easy to use because of features such as Code completion, customizable syntax and automatic in line assembly highlighting, a to do list, class browser and project management.
Another feature that has been recently added is having the visual RAD designer that creates the wxWidgets application. This software supports the project templates to accelerate new project types creation. It also supports the MinGW/Visual C++. And because of its user-friendly interface,, the wxDev-C++ helps the user to quickly create DLL’s, Static libraries and console application.
