What is Symantec Ghost AI-Builder?
Symantec Ghost AI-Builder instantly builds an application package consisting of a program by taking a picture of the computer before the application program is installed. Afterwards, it observes the changes made by the installation. Ghost compares the differences between the state of the computer and the snapshot automatically after the program has been installed. Afterwards, it will create an .exe file which will duplicate these differences when the program is run. It application package is the .exe file.
Symantec does not support the production of AI packages which come from Microsoft service packs. There are Microsoft files which are in use and some protected storage files which cannot be replaced by Ghost.
