Swiff Player

If you are looking for Swiff Player, you have come to the right place. We explain what Swiff Player is and point you to the official download.

What is Swiff Player?

Swiff Player is a software program from GlobFX Technologies that provides the user with a player that is able to run SWF files on the computer. This is a standalone player developed exclusively to play Flash videos rendered in the SWF format.

The player takes advantage of the OpenGL (Open Graphics Library) API (Application Programming Interface) to run the SWF files. OpenGL communicates with the system’s graphics processing unit or GPU for hardware acceleration, to accurately render the videos contained within the SWF file.

Basic control buttons are included to control playback, such as play, pause and stop. A slider/seeker is likewise displayed, so the user can move the video backward or forward. Users can also view information regarding the video that is currently playing such as frame rate, length, file size and number of frames.

Videos can be viewed in full screen mode, and 3D effects can be applied to the movies as well.

Swiff Player is software that can be downloaded from the publisher’s website. It is distributed as freeware, and compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
