What is SABnzbd?

SABnzbd is an open-source binary newsreader written in Python. SABnzbd makes Usenet as simple and as streamlined as possible by automating everything they can. All the user has to do is to add a .nzb SABnzbd takes over from there, where it will be automatically downloaded, verified, repaired, extracted, and filed away with zero human interaction. If the user can work with XML or JSON, then he can get access to everything that SABnzbd can do. For their users, this means that they will soon get even more tightly integrated third parties.

SABnzbd also comes with a bunch of themes, which include a brand new Mobile Theme for Webkit-based devices, such as iPhone or Android. SABnzbd also ships with six localizations by default, and features a rather simple system for adding new localizations. SABnzbd runs anywhere: Windows, OSX, Linux, BSD, etc. SABnzbd is written in Python, so it will work practically anywhere. SABnzbd makes downloading from Usenet easy by automating the whole thing. It also has a Web browser based UI and an API for 3rd party apps.
