If you are looking for RSLogix, you have come to the right place. We explain what RSLogix is and point you to the official download.

What is RSLogix?

RSLogix is the name for any of Rockwell Software’s ladder logic programming solutions, which were developed specifically for users on Windows platforms. There are at least 4 distinct programming utilities distributed by Rockwell Software that all share the RSLogix product name: RSLogix 5, which is for the Allen-Bradley PLC5 controller products; RSLogix 5000, which complies with IEC61131-3 and is compatible with S88 equipment phase state models; RSLogix 500, which is for the MicroLogix and Allen-Bradley SLC 500 processors; and finally, RSLogix Emulate.

All of these programs are Rockwell Software’s automation solutions intended to streamline the project development by providing a highly-intuitive, efficiency-strong interface from which users can carry out their programming tasks. While there are minor variations across them, all share a similar, Windows-based interface and utilities for problem-solving and diagnosing errors. The former translates to support for common Windows operations such as drag and drop and the latter to easy-to-access displays for reviewing bit settings as well as advanced diagnostic tools. Some versions also include support for advanced device integration, which can be beneficial in reducing the efficiency costs of industrial control systems’ downtime issues.
