Developed by Chris Sawyer Productions and Frontier Developments, RollerCoaster Tycoon is a construction and management simulation video game series running on IOS, Xbox, Android, and windows platforms. This video game written in Assembly language and C language, replicates amusement park management, published by Hasbro Interactive. The RollerCoaster Tycoon is the first game in the RollerCoaster Tycoon game series, with the proceeding editions of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D. The RollerCoaster Tycoon added Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes in 1999 and 2000 respectively to its original attractions.
The main principle of the RollerCoaster Tycoon is to build and maintain amusement parks to complete a series of stipulated events. To do so, users must select and build a variety of rides for the visitors, such as go karts, carousels, swinging ships, bumper cars, log flumes, hunted houses, Ferris wheels, and different types of roller coasters available. Players have the option to layout their own rides, from the individual track pieces to the direction, altitude and steepness, as well as the geographical location of their park. All amusement parks must be beautiful and attractive, and each ride must be well maintained to avoid crash and to maintain the park’s popularity.
The whole set of RollerCoaster Tycoon contains 81 exciting scenarios all in all with diverse premise and objective. The game contains built-in tutorial to fully understand the whole series.
