What is Roblox?
Roblox is an online gaming site where gamers can build and design a 3D universe of their own. It has been ranked as No. 1 online gaming site by 14 to 18-year old gamers in the United States. The site aims to take the lead among 15-year old gamers.
With its user-generated gaming platform, Roblox enables players to build their game world environment using key building elements. The resulting 3D scenarios for gamers are creative online games that enrich the layers of their simulated real world.
The games are mostly in multi-player platform and has a variety of themes and interests for both genders in its target market. Popular online Roblox games include Base Wars: The Land, DayZ - A Zombie Survival, The Complex V.4, Coaster Creator V3.5, Skating in the City, Zoo Tycoon New Alligator, Kick Bob Down, The Roblox Derby, VIP SAle, Catalog Heaven and many others.
With its involved community of game developers, programmers, players and online game enthusiasts, Roblox has developed a tight-knit community not just for its target gamer markets, but also for game developers. Roblox Creative Director John Shedletsky maintains close collaboration with his team of gaming engineers and the Roblox gamers. A Roblox Game Conference also kicks off in July 2012.
