What is Python - PyQt4?

Qt itself was created as a part of the Qt project. The PyQt4 binding offers other types of bindings for the Qt5 and the Qt4. PyQt comes in two versions. PyQt4, which builds against both Qt 4.x, and 5.x, and PyQt5 which can only be built against 5.x. However, these two editions are both built for Python 2 and Python 3. PyQt contains classes that cover graphical user interfaces, network communication, XML handling, SQL databases, Web browsing, as well as other kinds of technologies available for the Qt. The newest version of the PyQt is version 5.2. It contains support for the Qt 5.2.0, with added support for QtPositioning, QtBluetooth, QtMacExtras, QtX11Extras, and QtWinExtras.
