Power2Go

If you are looking for Power2Go, you have come to the right place. We explain what Power2Go is and point you to the official download.

What is Power2Go?

Cyberlink’ Power2Go is similar to Roxio’s Creator line of premium software packages, which allows users to burn CDs and DVDs from data files, like audio and movie file formats, and includes a simple DVD menu creation tool. Users have a little misunderstanding with this software and reviews often mention that it is not a DVD authoring program, but rather just a simple application that enables end users to transfer their data to a disc medium.

Power2Go can also be found as OEM (original equipment manufacturer) software, in which it is preloaded in machines like in Gateway, Acer or Dell that has entered a partnership with Cyberlink; alternatively, it can be downloaded and a license key purchased online.

Aside from its primary purpose of copying or transferring your data to a disc medium, Power2Go features ripping capability, in which you can extract data or copy from the disc to anywhere on your hard disk, and create a disc image in which you can use the program itself to “mount” it as a virtual disc. It also has a superb 256-bit encryption capability, and you can create system recovery discs that you can use to boot up your computer in case of system failure.
