What is Polymath?
Polymath is a Windows-based computing program for numeric analysis. It can run on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista, and Windows XP and is also compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the OS.
There are essentially 4 main elements of the Polymath software. The first is the Linear Equations Solver, which can perform as many as 264 concurrent computations. Then there is the Nonlinear Equations Solver, which can solve as many as 300 parallel problems. Third is the Differential Equations Solver, which allows for the same number of simultaneous problem-solving operations as the Nonlinear Equations Solver. Finally, there are the Data Analysis utilities, which permit users to process data in various ways and create data graphs, plots and interpolations as well as regressions. There are many different graphical representation options as well as a graph editor.
The program’s editing interface is color-coded and capable of functioning in a full-screen mode. While it can perform computations by itself, the program also has the ability to export data to Excel with one keypress for users who want to solve their problems with that program instead.
