What is PIPI?
PIPI is an online video streaming service from Zhejiang Hao Ying Network Limited. The PIPI player enables users to download and watch popular Chinese TV shows and movies through the Internet.
PIPI is free for use and provides video-on-demand service. The PIPI Network website contains a library of movies, TV shows and animated shows. The videos are categorized according to their genre, i.e. Action, Drama, Comedy, Love/Romance, Science Fiction, War and Suspense.
The user also has the option to watch sports and game shows, documentaries and educational shows. On the website, there is a section of the home page that displays titles with accompanying images of recommended shows. A star rating is also provided to give the user information on a show’s popularity among viewers.
There is also a synopsis of currently-playing movies as well as each movie’s cast and director. The PIPI player can play movies and shows in High Definition, and P2P file sharing is supported. The online player is compatible with Windows operating systems and provides support for popular Web browsers.
