What is MultiGo?

MultiGo is an application independently developed by Rui Jiang that allows users to edit and configure Go games, supporting SGF (Smart-Go format) files, but can also support other Go formats such as GOS and GO. Aside from its editing capabilities, MultiGo also allows players to play their own custom Go games. It supports three languages: English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.

Go originated from East Asia and is played on a 19x19 board, similar to chess, with two players (one white and the other black). Unlike chess where players place discrete pieces with specific abilities, Go features only stones that cannot be moved once placed on an area of the board. The goal of the game is to take control of the board faster than the opponent.

MultiGo logs each move on the right side of the main window, plus users can scroll through the log to find the moves in the current game. MultiGo allows power users to record the game, mark the grid and board with annotations, take screenshots, copy and paste SGF content right into MultiGo, and convert multiple Go files into SGF.
