What is memoQ?

The memoQ software is a translation tool most used by translators and reviewers. It is generally a computer-assisted translation software suite that runs on Windows systems and Apple computers in a virtual Windows Machine. It is developed by Kilgray Translation Technologies. The software was first release in 2006, and since then, have now several versions; 4Fee Edition, Translator Pro Edition, Project Manager Edition, and some server based versions.

Features included in the software are reproducibility features that let the user retrieve previous translations, language support for over 105 languages, integration with other software such as Microsoft Office, customizable user interface and shortcuts, file translation from different file types to memoQ, term extraction, and many others.

In order to run the software, a minimum system requirement is a must have; any Windows operating system from Windows 2000 to Windows 8 Pro, and iMac and MacBook computers in a virtual Windows Machine; a .NET Framework of at least version 3.5 SP1; 512 MB RAM; 110 MB disc space for installation; at 1024x768 pixel resolution; other Microsoft Office software to display.PPT files and other files in other formats.
