Melodyne

If you are looking for Melodyne, you have come to the right place. We explain what Melodyne is and point you to the official download.

What is Melodyne?

Melodyne is software developed by Peter Neubäcker and distributed by Celemony Software GmbH. It functions primarily as a tool for correcting pitch. The software displays the notes of each recording in the form of a “blob,” which the musician can edit and move. The software features the Melodyne Editor, which is the application utilized by users to edit notes, specifically for moving notes to a different pitch, stretching notes or shortening their range, and increasing or decreasing their loudness.

There are three versions of the software: Melodyne Essential, Melodyne Assistant, and Melodyne Studio. Melodyne Essential contains the basic functions of the editor for pitch correction and timing, while the Assistant version does not contain the full functionality of the Melodyne Editor, but it still enables the user to edit notes in more ways as compared to the Essential version.

The Melodyne Studio is a bundled product that contains the full functionalities of the pitch-correction and editing software. The software allows the user to work on multiple audio recordings simultaneously. This is the most expensive version of the software. Trial versions of all software types are available, and can be used for up to 30 days.

The software is compatible with Windows and Mac systems.
