What is Mechanical APDL Product?
The Mechanical APDL Product Launcher can be applied if the user wants to run an ANSYS program. It can also be used to run auxiliary programs, or gain access to a modifiable ANSYS file. Users can also access certain launcher functionalities straight from Windows’ Start Menu. In order to completely access the ANSYS functionality, which involves the launcher on Windows systems, they can just click on Start, then Programs, then ANSYS 14.0, and choose their preferred option. And to be able to activate the launcher inside Linux systems, users just need to enter the ‘launcher140’ command. They will be able to run ANSYS immediately by selecting it from the Start Menu.
If the launcher has not yet been opened, or has chosen any products and defined any profiles, then the largest product that the user’s site has licensed for will be run. The products will also be specified by users’ licensed administrator by using the Specific Product Order option of the ANSLIC utility. The Mechanical APDL Product launcher will make a log file called ‘launcher.140.log. This file includes a list of launcher selections, as well as any type of error message that may occur.
