LiveMaker
If you are looking for LiveMaker, you have come to the right place. We explain what LiveMaker is and point you to the official download.
What is LiveMaker?
LiveMaker from HUMAN BALANCE is a scriptless game authoring engine designed for Japanese game creators. The scriptless functionality makes it possible for game developers to create fully playable games without learning how to manually write code, working instead on a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) visual interface that allows even novice game makers to have a go at such projects.
The game goes above simple “page by page” game creation since it also allows users to animate their work. This is possible through the GraphicsGale and Live Cinema animation utilities packaged with the program. The former also includes a feature that allows conversion of BMPs to the utility’s native format, besides providing users the ability to work in more than one layer and undo their operations limitlessly.
In-game behaviors can be selected easily by simply choosing the desired strings during the authoring process, and all selections can be previewed within the application before finalizing them. The program is also downloadable for free and the developer has stated no objections to it being used for either nonprofit or commercial purposes, even allowing users to publish and sell games created with it without a fee.
