What is Legacy Family Tree?
Legacy or Legacy Family Tree is a genealogy program published by Millennia Corporation. The program consists of various tools that allow the user to track their family history, and organize all relevant details in a database.
There are currently two editions of the software that are available for download: Legacy Standard and Legacy Deluxe. The Standard edition is distributed as freeware, while the Deluxe edition is provided for a fee.
Features that are provided with both editions include Family View, Pedigree View, To-Do List, and Reminders (for special occasions like birthdays). Both also allow the user to bookmark specific names/individuals, and add media files like photos, video clips and sound clips. The Deluxe version provides more views such as Chronology View, Descendant View and Index View; plus a feature that allows for detection of duplicates. The Family View and Pedigree View allow the user to start building their family tree, while the Legacy Home option is where the user can view reminders and to-do lists.
Legacy is compatible with Windows operating systems. The latest version of the software is Legacy 7.5 for the Standard and Deluxe editions.
