What is InfoStat?
The InfoStat software is a program used for the purpose of statistical analysis and data management. It was first released in 1998 and was developed by the professional statisticians at the National University of Cordoba in Argentina. This software allows the user to import and export files in formats of text, Excel, databases in Paradox and EpiInfo.
This software allows data management through its quick access tools such as sorting and filtering cases by its criteria, tables merging, formula editing, variable classification and categorization. Copying the graphs for data and results to and from different applications has also been modified for ease of use. This software also boasts its simple interface as its strength added to its capabilities at a professional level to perform statistical computing. Another unique feature of the InfoStat is having an assortment of facilities for teaching statistics which can be attributed to it having originated in a university.
The InfoStat’s User’s Manual which is distributed electronically, contains a description of all the procedures existing in the software. In addition, examples are shown in pictures and illustration showing how to achieve the results.
