Impress
If you are looking for Impress, you have come to the right place. We explain what Impress is and point you to the official download.
What is Impress?
LibreOffice’s Impress is its presentation authoring solution. The program provides users with all they need to compose a media-rich presentation, from an editor offering multiple view modes to a set of drawing tools that allow users to create unique visuals as well as diagrams that can enhance their final product. 3D objects are supported and users are also given a range of unique diagramming tools that can negate the need for external infographic creators. For instance, there is a Fontworks tool that converts a selected piece of text into an image for an intermeshing of the visual and the textual.
The program also comes with custom animations and slide transition effects for adding further polish to presentations. Users can take advantage of its dedicated Slide Show Mode to ensure maximum management of their presentation’s progress. The program also comes with a feature called the Presenter Console Extension, which can be paired with its multi-monitor functionality in order to make it possible for presenters to have a different view (such as Notes view) from the one the actual audience is seeing. The developer also has templates for presentations as downloadables for the program.
