HTML TADS Player Kit
If you are looking for HTML TADS Player Kit, you have come to the right place. We explain what HTML TADS Player Kit is and point you to the official download.
What is HTML TADS Player Kit?
The HTML TADS Player Kit is the program used to view HTML TADS games. TADS is a program designed for game development in the interactive fiction category. It was used to create such famous interactive fiction projects as Kaged (by Ian Finley), Six Stories (by Neil K. Guy), and The Golden Skull (also by Guy). TADS users can script and organize a complete interactive fiction game with the program since it has multimedia support, allowing them to add digital audio, graphics, hyperlinks, and more interactive features to their game package.
TADS games run in an entirely different language from others—it looks similar to Javascript or C++ when viewed as code, but is actually a different language with rules that make it the optimum choice for games that are basically “text adventures”. The TADS Player Kit is not intended for game authors, of course, but for the end consumers or gamers, and is thus indispensable to the TADS authoring process even for game creators. It is what they shall use to take their creations for a test run.
The TADS Player Kit is freeware, just like the actual TADS authoring tools. It also has zero ads.
