Harmony Assistant - Win32
What is Harmony Assistant - Win32?
Harmony Assistant – Win32 is a software program from Myriad Software which provides musicians with tools for editing musical scores, where score inputting can be done in three ways: via the computer keyboard, a MIDI keyboard or through the user’s mouse.
The Score Editor features musical symbols and instruments which the user can utilize to edit scores according to instruments, and listen to the score as it is being edited. Spacing between notes is determined by two different applications: the arithmetical mode and engraver mode.
For arithmetical mode, spacing is determined by the duration of the notes and rests; where distance between notes and rests increases or decreases according to their actual duration; while for engraver mode, spacing is determined by the user.
For working on different sections of the same score, a display window that can be split into two or three parts enables the user to simultaneously work on different parts of a single score. The software also includes a digital synthesizer, audio space mixer and accompaniment generator.
A trial version of the software is available at the NCH website. The trial version can be used without time limit, however, work cannot be saved and printing is restricted to one page per project.
