Groove is a privately-held company which specializes in productivity software. It allows different users to work extensively on computer files at the same time. Groove was first developed by Lotus Notes, and improved by Groove Networks in Massachusetts. Groove was acquired by Microsoft later on. Now, Microsoft markets this partnership as Microsoft SharePoint Workspace.
Microsoft SharePoint Workspace is a type of desktop application. It is made for document collaboration, intended for teams with members who don’t have the same type of network security clearance, or are off-line on a regular basis. Groove’s uses contain some coordination between emergency relief agencies. This is when different organization has no common security infrastructure, and when it’s important to have online access.
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files Groove Application can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
