Genie Backup Manager Home
If you are looking for Genie Backup Manager Home, you have come to the right place. We explain what Genie Backup Manager Home is and point you to the official download.
What is Genie Backup Manager Home?
The Genie Backup Manager Home edition is a data backup solution that supports 3 kinds of backup methods: incremental, complete and mirror. The last option
is comparable to synchronized folder services, where the backup folder mirrors or copies activity in the directory from which it was copied, e.g. if a file
in the original folder gets a file taken out of it, the same file is taken out of the backup folder.
With the Genie Backup program, a user can set backups of particular drives or directories to be made at a certain time. Nearly any medium is available for
exporting backup files, and users can even save backups over a network. The program has a Disaster Recovery feature that ensures full system recovery and
does not discriminate between locked and open files. For the security-conscious, Genie Backup files can be password-protected and encrypted and can be
either compressed or full-fidelity. The degree of compression is adjustable, letting the user create backups appropriate for the target storage medium, and
the program can be set to automatically turn off the computer after a backup operation has been run.
