What is ForceVision?
ForceVision is a program primarily intended to be used for viewing images, and its UI certainly makes it look like the image-viewing software it is. But fiddling around with the program can lead to users discovering some of the other tools and functionalities it has under the surface, including fundamental photo editing utilities that can be used to improve photos. The user can adjust the depth of the image’s color, sharpen details, improve contrast, correct exposure, and reduce the appearance of red-eye in photos through the program. He can also perform the usual orientation alterations, from rotation to flipping. More than that, the program can actually perform file format conversion.
The ForceVision program can open majority of image file formats, from the ever-so-popular BMPs and PNGs to even less common image formats such as JP2, RLE, PBM, FAX, DIB, CUR, VDA, WBMP, and TARGA. Files using the Adobe Photoshop native format (PSD) can also be opened with the program.
The software supports image caching and multiple monitor setups. It can perform a number of functions automatically (such as image auto-orientation) and allows users to browse images as thumbnails too.
