What is FluxPlayer Web3D Player?
The FluxPlayer Web3D Player (or simply Flux Player) is one half of the Flux software package that Media Machines used to sell. The program is no longer sold now since Media Machines is defunct: it actually underwent a rebranding and an acquisition by Microsoft but did not survive those.
Flux Player was one of the components of the company’s main product, and the “passive” component, at that. All Flux Player could do was play or view 3D content. Its counterpart, the other half of the Flux software bundle, was the editing program. Named Flux Studio, that other application was generally the selling point for the Flux package when it was still retailing, with Flux Player only being added as an easy to use and distribute solution for testing the content created in Studio. That having been said, both of the programs were crafted to also be capable of standing alone. They can be run independent of each other and Flux Player itself can be installed too as a plugin for the IE web browser. The player is compatible with most Web 3D formats (for example, X3D and WRL).
