What is easyMule?
The easyMule software is an open-source and free program that enables P2P sharing. Developed by the company VeryCD since 2007, this software aims to link server to create a huge resource-sharing network and allow the user to search, download and share resources at better speeds.
The easyMule software is user-friendly and is easy to start, plus, it promotes disk buffering to protect the hard drive. This software also removed some features from the software it was based on such as message, IRC, custom skin and category although it placed the Browser Helper Objects or BHO plug in. However, easyMule users cannot search using the eDonkey Server and Kad network; searches can only be done through the VeryCD.com site.
Recent releases of this software have a high-contrast interface which is eye-catching, attractive and colorful. It is also fairly easy to use considering the users that are not so tech savvy. The easyMule software works well in many operating systems including the Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows, XP, Windows 2000 and Windows 98 although it leaves files behind when it is uninstalled which is common in software programs for file –sharing.
