Cyberlink’s AudioDirector is the other half of its video authoring suite, with the PowerDirector being the program’s video editing counterpart. AudioDirector is the program equipped with the muscle for editing and processing the audio to go with the visuals in video projects. It supplies tools for direct editing, audio-video synchronization and audio correction. The supported video formats include not only the usual AVI, 3GP and MPEG-2 but also the less common 2K and 4K Ultra HD video formats.
The software’s restorative tools for damaged audio allow a user's precise track portion selection so they can tell the program which parts to focus on for correction. Noise reduction tools as well as a Harmonic Finder aid the restorative effort. The effects can be enriched by adding a medley of compatible VST plug-ins to the program, which already contains several effects by default. Up to 99 audio tracks can be managed at once and smart transitioning options allow smoother, more professional-sounding soundtracks for videos. Audio can be produced with up to 7.1 channels for high quality recording and dynamic surround sound is also offered. Furthermore, users can export their work directly to CDs.
