What is Creo Parametric?
PTC Creo Parametric is a product design and development application with 3D CAD tools. It can be found in the Creo suite of applications from PTC and is arguably the main utility in the set. The program can generate models for use as discrete parts or as assembly elements. One of its time-saving features is the ability to automate engineering drawing while ensuring perfect fidelity to the user’s intended design. It also allows users to make use of CAD files made with other programs, provided they are neutral: this means that users can have an instant base for recreating 3D models according to certain requirements when that would be more efficient. All in all, Creo Parametric is heavily focused on rendering the product development process less effort-intensive.
The entire Creo suite is capable of parametric feature solid modeling, direct modeling, CAD design (2D), finite element simulation and analysis, technical illustration, and more. The nine apps that make up the program—Creo Parametric included—are actually available in at least 9 localizations, namely Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Italian, English and Korean. Creo Parametric is also scalable.
