If you are looking for ConTEXT, you have come to the right place. We explain what ConTEXT is and point you to the official download.

What is ConTEXT?

ConTEXT is a small freeware text editor, which is developed to serve as a tool for software developers. ConTEXT supports the PDF format, and is able to produce interactive PDF files using pdfTeX. ConTEXT’s macro files are less than 10MB, but the suite comes with free fonts which increase the size of the distribution to 200MB.

Cross-references are automatically converted to hyperlinks. These documents can be viewed and consulted with Acrobat. ConTEXT provides all kinds of navigational aids that are activated without any kind of programming. Electronic versions of these documents are useful in educational settings. ConTEXT can handle JavaScript and complex forms. It has unlimited open files, unlimited editing file size, and syntax highlighting for C#, JavaScript, Visual Basic, HTML, and CSS. It has a custom defined syntax highlighter and a multi language support. ConTEXT can search and replace texts in all open files, and record macros as well.
