If you are looking for BitComet, you have come to the right place. We explain what BitComet is and point you to the official download.
What is BitComet?
BitComet is a download manager for BitTorrent, HTTP and FTP files. The software was previously known as SimpleBT client. The software was developed by the BitComet Development Group. The software also serves as a peer-to-peer (P2P) sharing utility, allowing the user to exchange torrents with other users during the download process. This feature is enabled through the Torrent Share option. Starting with version 1.17, this option has been renamed Torrent Exchange.
It features a preview utility, allowing the user to watch parts of the video even while they are still in the process of downloading the file. It is also integrated with the Internet Explorer (IE) Web browser, which enable the user to look for torrents to download directly from the program’s interface.
Also featured is the Webseeding option, enabling the user to choose specific files to download contained within a torrent file. The program also features a resume feature, which enables it to resume download from the point where it was stopped.
BitComet is software that is enabled to run on Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, 7 and 8. It is compatible with the 32-bit and 64-bit platforms of the OS.
