Apabi Reader

If you are looking for Apabi Reader, you have come to the right place. We explain what Apabi Reader is and point you to the official download.

What is Apabi Reader?

The Apabi application comes from Chinese company Beijing Founder Apabi Technology, which created the CEBX file format. CEBX stands for Common E-document Blending XML and is the format the company uses for distributing its eBooks, which it gets from several hundred Chinese publishers with whom it has contracted. The Apabi app, which works with both Android and IOS phones, is the program that opens and views these files. The Apabi company claims that CEBX files are better than their main competitor formats—most notably, PDF—because they tend to load faster on handheld and portable devices, among other things.

Through the Apabi app, users can discover many Chinese-language e-books and can also check out the ones that they want to read. The app then downloads the e-book so that the user can view it. The viewing/reading options are standard for e-readers: users can increase the text size and make text reflow intelligently, adjust zoom, and scroll through text as desired. The program is also designed to work with some other common e-book file formats. For instance, the Apabi software will readily open any TXT file or e-book.
