XFDL form

XFDL is an acronym for Extensible Forms Description Language. Files that contain the .xfdl file extension are commonly used to store standardized and interchangeable business forms.

Files that contain the .xfdl file suffix store the form layout, digital signatures, business transaction details, and other business form information of the associated business form. Government agencies and businesses commonly use them in many e-commerce transactions and legally-binding contracts.

The form information that is contained in the XFDL file is encoded using the XML format. Users can customize certain fields of the XDFL file to suit their specific business needs.
