What are VER files and how to open them

What is a VER file?
Files that contain the .ver file extension are used by a variety of software applications to define the version of the associated program. These VER files contains info about the version of the program that the user is running on their computer.
Programs that require frequent updates or programs that frequently issue new releases of their software often use the VER file format to ensure that a user has the most recent version of the software on their hard drive.
VER files are used on both Mac and PC platforms by a variety of software programs. The Garmin FTL software, SeeYou Airspace files and Internet explorer all use the VER file format.
How to open VER files
Important: Different programs may use files with the VER file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your VER file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
