VDM File - opening and understanding
Did your computer fail to open a VDM file? We explain what they are used for and recommend software that we know can open or otherwise handle your .VDM files.
What is a VDM file?
Files that contain the .vdm file extension contain program source code that is based on the Vienna Development Method. The Vienna Development Method was created for the development of computer-based systems at IBM's Vienna Laboratory. The VDM source code files are written in the VDM-SL language, also known as VDM++.
The Peps SolidCut CAD/CAM software program also uses the .vdm file suffix. These VDM files contain the graphics and/or machining files that have been created with the SolidCut Software program.
The Vedit software application has also been known to use the .vdm file suffix. These VDM files contain macro files that are created by the application.
How to open VDM files
You will need a program compatible with the specific file you are trying to open, as different programs may use files with file extension VDM for different purposes.
