What is a TT2 file?

The TT2 file format is a temporary file type that was developed by Microsoft. Files in this format use the .tt2 file extension. These TT2 files are normally seen during the installation process of Microsoft Office 2013, which is a suite of programs that can allow users to create and edit word documents, spreadsheets and presentations among other supported types of documents.A TT2 file contains temporary installation data. This is used by the setup program of Microsoft Office 2013 while this software is being installed in the user's computer. These .tt2 files are generated and stored by the Microsoft Office 2013 installer in the system root directory of the user's computer. These .tt2 files are not meant to be opened manually. These do not contain human-readable data. It's recommended to leave these TT2 files alone, in order for the Microsoft Office 2013 installer to function properly.
