What are S1V files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a S1V file or just wondering what they contain? We explain what these files are used for and show you software that we know can open or otherwise handle your files.
What is a S1V file?
A .S1V file is a Yamaha EX5 Voices Format Audio file.
These files are digital audio samples utilized with the Yamaha EX5 synthesizer. They contain information regarding the audio, such as pitch and length, as well as how it is to be played back.
The EX5 uses these samples to create an array of different musical sounds, ranging from realistic instrument imitations to more experimental, electronic sounds.
Musicians and sound designers use these files when working with the EX5, either in the studio or during live performances, to create custom sounds or organize a library of sounds for use.
