What is a QTR file?
Files that contain the .qtr file extension are most commonly associated with the Apple QuickTime media player. QuickTime is an application that allows users to download movies, videos and television shows on the Internet and watch them on their computer.
The QTR files that are used by the application are QuickTime extension resource files. These files provide added support for additional video codecs that are used by the QuickTime application.
QTR files are very similar to the plug-in files that are used by other software applications. They allow users to add features and functions to the QuickTime media playback application.
