What is a PMX file?

The PMX file format is normally found in files that are linked to documents that are generated using the Adobe PageMaker desktop publishing software. The .pmx file contains a single or a number of PageMaker documents.

PageMaker is now an obsolete Adobe application which was replaced by Adobe InDesign. Since the main program that specifically runs .pmx files is now considered obsolete, support for PMX files has also been ceased. Nevertheless, users may still access the contents of a.pmx file by converting it to other Adobe- based readable file types like .pdf. PMX file conversion and exportation are made possible by the Adobe InDesign software.

How to open PMX files
