PK File - opening and understanding

What is a PK file?
Files that contain the .pk file extension are normally associated with the Audition and Cool Edit Pro waveform applications. The PK files that are used by these programs contain visual representations of a corresponding audio file. When the audio file is played, the PK file displays a visual waveform representation of the audio file on the screen.
The .pk file extension is also used by the LaTex software program. This application uses the .pk file suffix for the compressed font files that are saved by the program.
Packed bitmap font files can also be saved with the .pk file suffix.
How to open PK files
You will need a program compatible with the specific file you are trying to open, as different programs may use files with file extension PK for different purposes.
